In The Snow

The beautiful cats on the pictures have a warm house to go back to when they finish to enjoy the snow expedition.

Stray cats could experience some hard times  in the winter,  and giving them food everyday will help them go through it. When a cat eat good it actualy improves his hunting skills who help him take care of himself.

Cats are predators
When they play, it's also a practice to help them stay in shape.
When cats play with their pray it's sometimes seems cruel, but it is necessary for the cat survival.
I have written on the post with pray that when your cat comes home with a pray in his mouth, it's a gift that he want to share with you, Well there is another reason, your cat wants to "play" with his prey and to practice his hunting skills in a place where he knows every inch of , so that his prey will not succeed to escape.

When playing with your cat, the game should be interesting to both of you.
The cat will get bored if he'll always catch his prey,(and also you),
and will lose interest if he'll never get it (and also you). The ideal rate of a success hunting will be 1:3 to 1:6 .
If your cat will catch his prey at this rate, it will max. his interest, (and yours...)

Getting ready to the final stage of the attack…

He moves his rear legs, his eyes are following the movements of his prey, the tip of his tail is twisting anxiously... and…

He is out of his hideaway! running forward very fast, with his body tight to the ground… he is in a contact distance… he lifts his upper body and jumps on his prey…!

With his rear legs, the cat is routing to the ground, and he uses his paws to attach his prey to the ground…

Cat's guide for hunting (feel the alertness while reading this post... shhhsshhh...)

When your cat finds a prey, he starts the tracking…
He starts to get closer slowly and carefully using every cover, he can find.
Then he moves fast - running crawling with his belly close to the ground.
The cat stops. His running crawl was cut off, and while he stops, he looks carefully at his prey. These stages of running and stopping may happen a few times until the cat is in the closest cover he can find ...
When the cat is close enough, he bends behind the cover and getting ready to the final stage of the attack…

If your cat comes home with a prey in his mouth don't be mad at him, He brought food to the house, and he want to show it to you AND MAYBE SHARE IT WITH YOU... He is proud of the successful hunt!
You should accept his present with joy…! (and then get rid of it ASAP)
